Hameed U. Peracha MD.

Dr. Hameed U. Peracha graduated with four years of residency training in Ophthalmology and internship in General Surgery at the Washington Hospital Care Center, one of the most prestigious hospitals in the Washington, D.C area. Before his training in Ophthalmology, Dr. Peracha, completed six years of residency training in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology, and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center. His training in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology gave him a better understanding of the disease process and its management. During his training at the University of Connecticut Health Center, he published several papers. He has been doing private practice since July 1995, and has since then, expanded his practice from Maryland to Virginia, all in hopes to better assist the growing number  of patients with ophthalmologic needs.

In addition, Dr. Peracha use to teach ophthalmology residents at the Washington Hospital Center and Fairfax Hospital. He is a certified physician and surgeon from the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Hameed Peracha performs comprehensive eye exams on each and every patient over the age of 12 years old. He is fully licensed and board certified in the field of ophthalmology, having practiced since July 1995. He is experienced in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all ocular diseases from myopia and hyperopia to more advanced medical and surgical forms glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome and cataracts. Dr. Peracha is available 24 hours a day for questions or concerns you may have regarding your eye condition or medications.

 Shahab Motamedi O.D.


Dr. Motamedi joined the American Eye Care Center in 2015. He received his B.S. degree in  Biochemistry from Temple University and University of Pennsylvania. Then, he finished his  Doctorate degree at the State University of New York. He scored on top 99.8 percentile in admission  test and while in Optometry school, he received multiple awards and scholarships including  Presidential award scholarship, Diversity Fellowship scholarship, and Schools Project Foresight  Award 2012. Dr. Motamedi is national board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. He completed his clinical rotations at University Eye Center in Manhattan, and Veteran Affairs Medical Center at Baltimore. 

Dr. Motamedi is specialized in contact lens fittings, and has extensive experience with pediatrics, ocular injuries and diseases including glaucoma and diabetic eye disease.  Dr. Motamedi is a member of the American Optometric Association and Virginia Optometric Association.
